Can art mimic life?

March 28, 2017

Breaking out the water color paints a couple times a week has a calming effect.  You have a preconceived idea of what the finished art will look like. But sometimes the water has a mind of it’s own like rivers cutting a path over the land.

Something about seeing a drop of color spread across wet paper and forming a flower petal or the fin of a fish.  It spreads slowly and can be altered just by slightly tilting the paper or adding another drop of water to change the shading.  Boundaries sometimes dictate how the hues of color react and where they settle.

Life is similar.  You have rocks to climb over, bridges to build or tear down and the gentlest tilt can change the course of your path.

Here’s to you and your adventurous path.  I hope your journey ends better than you ever thought it could.
